We need at least 250 people be part of this music video!
There are three different ways to participate.
1.) Be on camera
2.) Help off camera
3.) Host an activity film days
See below for descriptions…
1.) IF YOU’RE WILLING TO BE ON CAMERA:
Come act, dance, or just chill as your natural self in the video.
Solo acting/dancing moments are possible, but not guaranteed. This is more of a group community event, so the most likely scenario is that you will be filmed as a participant in a larger group celebration.
For big groups shots, we’d like to film activities such as you/your partner or group:
Arriving to the site (filming cars arriving, parking)
Walking to the party (coolers and picnic supplies in hand)
Enjoying yourself at a party (laughing with friends, lounging around, playing yard games)
Singing along with the song
Dancing to the song (line dance, contra dance, couples dance, bachata, free-style, etc)
Our job is to make the party real, so you don’t have to do a lot of acting to look like you’re having fun. LOL
For small group and individual shots we’d like to film activities such as you/your partner or group:
Extending an invite or receiving an invite to the Lift Me Party
Grabbing someone’s hand to lead them to the Lift Me Party
Holding hands with your partner
Sharing a sweet (PG) kiss with your partner
Dancing solo or in a couple dance
Singing along with the song
Sitting in a row with a couple other folks, projecting love to the world with your smile and eyes

Send us a short paragraph about yourself and why you want to be in a video. We are looking for a large representation of folks from across the county, so let us know what you bring to the table. ALL are welcome and encouraged to participate. Have special needs? No worries! We’ll make it work.
2.) IF YOU ARE CAMERA SHY BUT STILL WANT TO BE PART OF THE ADVENTURE
We are looking for some special helpers that will help set up the event, and special helpers to be “runners” on filming days.
For Pre-Event helpers, we need folks to help with site setup/decoration.
For Event helpers, we need some assistants for the Director and the Director of Photography. (This might mean lugging some gear or running errands.) We also need runners for general tasks such as supplying water to the actors, crew.

3.) HOST AN ACTIVITY IF YOU HAVE A TALENT TO OFFER FOR CROWD ENTERTAINMENT/EDUCATION:
We need people who are willing to come to the site on filming days to offer participants some fun thing to occupy their time while they are waiting for their on-camera time.
Example ideas include:
Bird Talks - help participants identify local birds
Hoola Hoop Lessons - help participants warm up for dancing in the music video
Line Dancing instruction - come teach a line dance that can be used in the video
Live Music - get participants singing or listening
Music Stations - develop and run a music station that plays either Summit County or Ohio musicians, and have folks critique their work
Naturalists - come and talk about Summit County’s flora
Rock Painting - help participants find their inner artist

Note: All Participants will be asked to sign a waiver releasing the property, its owners and management, and the video crew and team from any liability. That means it’s a come and have fun, watch your own step, and take care of yourself affair. That said, a significant part of the grant from Arts Forward will spent on keeping the participants safe. This includes security, a med-tent, ample water, snacks, protection from the elements, ADA portajohns and sinks, etc.
